Welcome to Flggd, an SMS-based scam detection service operated by Flggd ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Service Description

Flggd provides automated analysis of text messages to help users identify potential scam or fraudulent content. Users forward suspicious SMS messages to our designated phone number and receive an automated response with our AI-powered assessment.

2. Enrollment and Opt-In

By sending a message to our service phone number or by completing our web-based opt-in form, you consent to:

• Receive automated SMS responses from Flggd regarding scam analysis
• Have your submitted messages analyzed by our AI system
• Storage of your phone number and message metadata for service operation

3. Opt-Out and Unsubscribe

You may opt out of our service at any time by:

• Texting STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to our service number
• You will receive a confirmation message upon opt-out
• To re-subscribe, text START to our service number

4. Message Frequency and Charges

• Message frequency varies based on your usage (you send a message, we respond)
• Standard message and data rates may apply as determined by your mobile carrier
• We do not charge fees for our analysis service
• You are responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier

5. Privacy and Data Usage

We collect and process:

• Your phone number
• Content of messages you submit for analysis
• Message metadata (timestamps, delivery status)
• IP address and device information (for web opt-ins)

We use this information solely to provide our scam detection service and improve our analysis accuracy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of or reliance on our service
• We are not responsible for any financial losses from scams, whether or not flagged by our service
• Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months

You agree NOT to:

• Use our service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or abuse our systems
• Send excessive messages to overload our service (rate limits apply)
• Use our service to harass, spam, or abuse others
• Resell or redistribute our service without authorization

9. Service Availability

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time
• Refuse service to anyone for any reason
• Change these terms with notice (continued use constitutes acceptance)

10. Third-Party Services

Our service uses third-party providers including:

• Telnyx for SMS delivery
• Google Cloud Platform for infrastructure
• Firebase for data storage

These providers have their own terms and privacy policies.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and technology used in our service are owned by Flggd or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flggd and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of California. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in California, except where prohibited by law.

14. TCPA Compliance

By opting in to our service, you provide express written consent to receive automated SMS messages at the phone number you provided, in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

15. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us immediately.

17. Changes to Terms
